China Eastern Airlines airplane has crashed in the southern territory of Guangxi, amidst fear of no survival.
A China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 was conveying 132 passengers crashed in the southern Guangxi Province on Monday, China’s Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) said.
The number of death is unknown , however, Guangxi’s emergency services said rescuers were en route to the accident scene.
The plane was flying from the city of Kunming to Guangzhou. CAAC said the airplane lost contact over the city of Wuzhou. It had 123 travelers and nine team on board.
Flight following site FlightRadar24 said the Boeing 737-89P quickly lost speed prior to entering a sharp plummet.
State media detailed that the aircraft crashed in a rocky area and started a fire in the forest.
