The Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof. Peter Twumasi, has expressed his profound gratitude to supporters who came to the Kumasi Sports Stadium to watch Ghana’s play-offs against Nigeria.
Professor Peter Twumasi who disclosed this to the media said he was delighted in particular about how the stadium was filled to capacity , but he was quick to attribute it to how they were able to organize the game ,describing it as successful to a great extent .
He further added that “there was no major casualty recorded at the stadium and so we would want to express our gratitude to Ghanaians for the support. I would also commend the Ambulance Service, the Police, the Military, the GFA, the Sports Ministry, and other stakeholders”.
Professor Peter Twumasi stated that CAF and FIFA were happy with the organization of the game.
He moreover commended the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and residents in Kumasi for demonstrating much love and support for the successful organization of the game.
