A 30-year-old Ghanaian lady, Karen Aphour, has been stabbed multiple times to death by her brother , 26-year-old Andy Aphour, over family tasks, in Evanston, a local area in Illinois, USA.
As per the Evanston Police, Karen, who used to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Ghana, was found in a home with “several stab wounds ” and was declared dead after she was conveyed to the St. Francis Hospital, abc7chicago.com reports.
The police noted that Andy Aphour was arrested in similar home after eyewitness informed them that he was the person who stabbed Karen.
It said that Andy has confessed to stabbing Karen as they were having a verbal exvchange about family errands which has been substantiated by statement of witnesses.
It added that Andy was accused of homicide on Sunday, April 17, 2022, after the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office supported the charges.
The police additionally demonstrated that Andy will show up in court on May 2, 2022, and he has been given a US$300,000 surerity with the special condition of surrendering up his visa.
Karen Aphour was an alum of the University of Ghana and the Mfantsiman Girls Senior High.
