A New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant Boakye Agyarko has stated that he severed any relationship he once had with the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Damkwa Akufo Addo.
Mr Boakye Agyarko a former Energy Minister noted that he confided in the President ,however, he sold out his trust when he fired him with practically no type of hearing during his initial term in office.
Boakye Agyarko made revelation when he was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM.
On whether the President have little to no faith in him, he noted that President who he has known him since 1976 ought to answer whether he confided in him or not.
He needs to respond to that,” he said when inquired as to whether the President have little to no faith in him.
That’s what he added “I confided in him however presently I don’t have a relationship. Individuals get hitched for a considerable length of time and get separated isn’t that right? I’ve known President since 76… ”
Obviously, we don’t, there is no scorn or ill will except for I’ve figured out how to continue on the grounds that by the day’s end that is what life is. I won’t ever allow anyone to bring me so low as to can’t stand him. I don’t despise anyone however there comes when conditions make it that you turn out well for you, you need to continue on,” he told Osei Bonsu on Eko Sii S3n on Asempa FM.
He went on while making sense of how he was sacked that”… what is left? I’ve not spoken to him over the telephone. Eye to eye once a long time back. No I was called by the Chief Of Staff and she said the President said he can’t work with me again and I said that is fine then I moved”.

PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO RELIEVES MINISTER FOR ENERGY OF HIS POSITION
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has, by letter, dated 6th August, 2018, relieved the Minister for Energy, Mr. Boakye
President Akufo-Addo has asked Mr. Boakye Agyarko to hand over his office to the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr. John Peter Amewu, who will act temporarily as Minister for Energy, until a substantive appointment is made.
The President wishes Mr. Boakye Agyarko well in his future endeavours.
