The Head Pastor of Cedar Mountain International Church in Accra, Reverend Stephen Yenusom Wengam, has been chosen as the General Superintendent ofAssemblies of God, Ghana at the 30th biennial General Council meeting of the congregation
Rev Wengam, 50, who doubles as the Lead Radio Pastor at Citi FM, takes over from Rev Professor Yaw Frimpong-Manso who has been General Superintendent for twelve years long.
In his Victory speech, Rev Wengam said he needed to “join Assemblies of God for genuine spiritual revival,
restoration and greatness.”
He likewise pledged his commitment in providing visionary leadership and a “satisfaction of the Great Commission.”
“We will recapture our position to turn into the main Pentecostal Church.” Ours is a congregation bound to exceed all expectations sooner or later and greatness is our part. Keep in mind, we are products of the Azusa Street Revival.”
Rev. Wengam said his journey in service so far had beem harsh and covered with “misleading complaints and distortions.”
