With the assistance of the Togo Interpol, they successfully apprehended the suspect, Blessing Njoma, a Nigerian national.
A search of the suspect at the scene yielded no incriminating evidence.
The suspect was then transported to the Togo Interpol Headquarters, where a subsequent search revealed old bullet scars on his right shoulder.
The suspect claimed to have sustained these injuries in a fight in Nigeria back in 2014.

Meanwhile, today marked the burial of Callistus Amoah, the police officer who tragically lost his life during the robbery.
The Police Administration posthumously promoted him, elevating his rank from Lance Corporal to General Corporal effective from June 22, 2023.
The promotion was announced during a pre-burial service held at St. George Catholic Church in Tesano, Accra, on the morning of Friday, July 14, as a tribute to the fallen officer.
