Aisylu Chizhevskaya Mingalim, 53, and her adopted son Daniel Chizhevsky, 22, got married on October 20 at a restaurant in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, Russia. Child welfare experts expressed concern about the decision, as the two first met when Aisylu was giving singing lessons at the orphanage where Daniel lived, and he was just 13 at the time.
Aisylu, a musician, raised him from the age of 14 and mentioned that their romantic relationship blossomed after she took him home. She insisted that their relationship is perfect, claiming they can’t live without each other and are on the same wavelength.
Following their marriage, officials removed five adopted children (four girls and one boy) from Aisylu’s care. She plans to relocate to Moscow to keep them, expressing frustration that some have been placed back in care homes while others returned to family members. Aisylu, who has a biological son from a previous marriage, began adopting children after encountering orphans during a film project with a Tatarstan TV station.
Her intention now is to leave Tatarstan, bringing her new husband and the adopted children to Moscow, where she believes they can live freely.
In a separate incident earlier this year, Patricia Spann married two of her biological children and expressed a desire to start a relationship with a third.
The authorities discovered this disturbing situation, leading to the family being separated and the mother and daughter being incarcerated.
