President Akufo-Addo has made Clarion call to Ghanaians to collectively combine their energies to find appropriate solutions to the current economic quargmire facing the country.
President Akufo-Addo was of the view that contribution from the citizenry and all stakeholders would help salvage the economic challenges affecting the country.
Speaking at a meeting with officials from FNB Bank at the Jubilee House, Nana Akufo-Addo, while stressing that the government was working to assuage the hardship which had engulfed Ghanaians indicated, that the prevailing situation was excalated by external factors that had further negatively affected other economies of the world.
“The difficulties that all of us are going through now are nothing that we have to reemphasize and reiterate. It is obvious, and the source of it is also something that all of us know. It has been different impacts on different economies and countries but the root causes of it are well known. They are matters that we have to also resolve together. I believe that at the end of the day, it is this cooperation across borders in our regions that will give us the strongest base in which to deal with the problems that have emerged in these last two years,” he said.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the recent Russia-Ukraine war have intensified Economic problems facing to many countries.
The prices of fuel products have in recent times gone up across the world due to the war.
In Ghana, the fuel price increases have led to a corresponding adjustment in the prices of general goods and services, sparking serious inflation concerns.
