Lightning has struck a young coconut vender dead at Bankoe in the Volta region capital, Ho.
Another two casualties who survived with multiple injuries are receiving treatment at the hospital.
The incidence which happened on Monday sparked of conversation among the residents that Emmanuel Torli might have stolen the coconut, thus , he was punished with the lighting strike .
Discounting the theft rumours , the boys sibling, Selasi Kwao, told journalists: “The coconut was culled at our family house at Sokode Bagble. The coconut tree has a place with our uncle and he knew we were culling a portion of the coconuts”.
“I for one climbed the tree to cull it. I culled them from 6 trees. My sibling who is dead currently didn’t climb the tree. I even paid certain individuals who assisted in moving with me. I just sent him to come and sell them”, he said.
The kid’s upset mother, Rejoice Kwao, said: “They have been selling coconut for quite a while however today, I was working when I got a call about lightning striking my child”.
“I came here just to see the kid on the floor dormant”, she cried.
She said: “My sibling sells coconuts for individuals, thus, they pluck from him moreover. Be that as it may, I don’t have the foggiest idea what occurred here today”.
